Power on/off by single press the button on top of the stylus without connecting bluetooth. If it doesn't work with your ipad,please turn off bluetooth on your ipad.(Settings > Bluetooth > Turn off Bluetooth, or follow the steps to disconnect the Bluetooth connection between your iPad and Apple Pencil: Settings > Bluetooth > Apple Pencil > tap "i" > Forget this device.
